Description
Purpose of the Production Coordinator
The Production Coordinator is responsible for working with the coordinator team to improve operations from start to finish. They will lead in the receiving process and the outbound process of all products, and ensuring raw product is available and accessible for the production team in concert with the other coordinators. This person will work closely with the Operations Manager to strongly manage their time while working to ensure they balance and support various areas of the operation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Lead Sunday flower cutting and receiving process on a rotating schedule with other coordinators.
- Lead receiving, storage, and packing of raw product, packaging materials, plush, and glass.
- Lead route packing and outgoing third-party vendor deliveries.
- Lead daily production and product coordination.
- Lead holiday rush times in warehouse and on production floor.
- Observe employee activities while providing fair and consistent feedback on work methods, work quality, productivity, and attitude.
- Ensuring the warehouse and production floor are organized, stocked, and clean.
- This role will share tasks with other production coordinators.
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, and Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
- Preferred two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; three (3) years related to a production environment.
- Previous experience in perishable production environment preferred.
- Reading, writing, and math skills at a proficient level.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a multi-task environment.
- Self-directed; takes initiative.
- Strong leadership and time management skills.
- Able to wear many hats and be a flexible, adaptable team player.
- Able to adapt or holiday rushes as needed and take on additional tasks outlined by leadership.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, turn, reach, pull, push, balance, and lift objects up to 55 pounds, in a fast-paced environment for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use a pallet jack proficiently.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk and move about for extended periods of time.
- Regularly works in warehouse environment with heat and cold, including coolers and refrigerators in temperatures as low as 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
